Monique Olivier, pensionnaire de la Maison-Relais : « enfin un logement stable et abordable »

Quelques affaires à ranger, un peu de ménage et les jouets de son petit fils à rassembler, le déménagement de Monique Olivier est vite expédié. La Cominoise de 42 ans a quitté le gîte rural où elle logeait pour un studio de 23 m² dans la Maison-Relais du centre ville de Comines.

Si l'établissement n'a pas officiellement ouvert, l'association ARELI qui le construit a quand même permis à Monique Olivier de s'y installer. Sans cette solution providentielle, elle était sans domicile. « On est en plein nettoyage de fin de chantier et dans les retouches mais elle n'avait aucune solution de replis, contrairement à d'autres, qui attendent comme elle, mais sont logés par des proches » explique Bernard Avez le responsable de la Maison-Relais.

Sans logement depuis le 3 janvier 2009, Monique et son fils de 19 ans sont passés d'un gîte à un autre pendant un an, anéantissant toutes leurs économies. « Pour vivre en gîte, je dépensais 1 000 euros chaque mois, sans les charges, auxquels s'ajoutent 302 euros de garde-meuble.

» À la Maison-Relais, Mme Olivier payera 409 euros par mois, charges comprises, et bénéficiera des aides pour le logement de la Caisse d'allocations familiales.

Si elle considère cette solution comme une offre provisoire et attend beaucoup des dossiers de logement qu'elle a déposés il y a quelques mois, Monique Olivier est sûre d'avoir un toit. Elle pourra rester autant de temps qu'elle le souhaite dans la Maison-Relais de Comines.

« J'ai enfin un logement stable et abordable ça va me permettre de souffler un peu et de me remplumer. Se demander tous les 15 jours où on va aller ce n'est pas évident », confie-t-elle.

Seul véritable crève-coeur pour cette maman et grand-mère d'un petit-fils, ne pas pouvoir accueillir sa famille chez elle. Pour accéder à un de ces logements, les candidats doivent en effet répondre à un cahier des charges très précis. « Il faut être seul, sans enfant, avoir plus de 40 ans et recevoir moins de 870 E par mois » confirme Bernard Avez.

Pour le moment, la maison ne fait pas le plein, six logements sont encore à pourvoir.

Monique Olivier pourrait voir débarquer ses premiers voisins cette semaine, mais l'association préfère rester prudente. « Neuf résidents devraient accéder à la Maison avant le premier janvier mais j'ai eu tellement de surprises avec ce chantier que je n'ose plus m'avancer à propos des dates » explique Bernard Avez, le responsable de l'établissement.

En attendant, Monique Olivier passera les fêtes de Noël avec ses enfants, elle a déjà tourné la page. « L'année 2009 a été difficile mais elle est terminée. Je suis déjà rentrée dans l'année 2010, qui sera de toute façon meilleure. »
